Funds for artistic residencies 

​Cobertizo opened its doors as an artistic residence in 2019 and since then it has proposed to build an accessible and relevant space in which the reflection and production of art give rise to links that strengthen the art ecosystem in a collaborative and plural way, allowing greater dispersion and feedback between different latitudes, with particular interest in Latin America.

In this sense, Cobertizo opens this year its first fundraising event - FoCo (Cobertizo funds) - at the laNao gallery, to establish a solid support model that allows us to continue contributing to our goal of subsidizing residencies for Latin American artists, and promoting their critical and rigorous development. For its first edition, FoCo presents a selection of work by more than twenty artists and a collection of prints, all made by former residents, in addition to a series of bags with representative designs of the event; This is to expand our support network, for which any contribution is essential.

​Cobertizo has received more than 120 artists of more than 15 nationalities, offering the opportunity to develop their work in an environment of exchange and horizontal support between artists and professional mentors. We hope to continue building this initiative with the community's support in general. ​​
